Well I've changed the name of the blog to The Foodie Spot. Michelle came up with this and it works. We like food and how it got on our plate. For us, the perfect pairing to a dish isn't wine, but conversation. That's not to say we don't like our wine. I'm working hard to support an expensive daily wine habit.
So it's off my rear again to fill this site with some entertaining content. I've recently became a Tweep. Lots to learn about this arena. We did discover the Village Bistro via Twitter so suddenly I see the value. It doesn't have to be mindless comments on random stupid stuff. It seems the art of effective tweets is to contribute some meaningful content.
In two weeks http://twitter.com/TheFoodieSpot has 14 followers. Pretty cool considering I have no idea what I am doing.
So what are we up to with all of this social stuff? We actually don't know. We know that we like food. We really like to make food. With loving influences from mom's, mother in laws, siblings, and friends we've blossomed into some pretty darn good cooks. Wouldn't it great to share that and perhaps even support our food and beverage habits with the fruits of our labor.
So there you have it. The Foodie Spot is a work in progress. The end game is to bang out some really good and unique soul food for a living.
Check back to see our progress.
Cheers! Scott & Michelle
